*History of Hinaka Manufacturing
January 1947
Founded as Nakamura Manufacturing in Osaka.
Began manufacturing cylinder locks and so on.
December 1955
Reorganized into Hinaka Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (capital: 1 million yen)
November 1956
Moved to Higashi-osaka for expansion.
January 1957
Capital increased to 2 million yen.
August 1957
Began to rationalize equipments upon Recommendation by an Osaka Prefectural Institution. Introduced conbeyers and so on.
March 1961
Capital increased to 3 million yen.
October 1961
Built an assembly plant for cylinder locks and enlarged employees' apartment. Introduced conveyers, horizontal milling machines, broaching machines and so on.
January 1962
Capital increased to 3.9 million yen.
May 1962
2nd-phase rationalization began: introduction of new machines such as milling machines, high speed lathes, surface grinding machines, measuring machines and automatic lathes for better quality products in mass production.
August 1962
Capital increased to 6 million yen.
September 1962
Built employees' facillities and a factory, and introduced milling machines and automatic lathes upon the second recommendation by an Osaka Prefectural Institution.
November 1962
Built a dormitory for women employees and changed office organization upon the third recommendation by an Osaka Prefectural Institution.
October 1963
Capital increased to 12 million yen.
December 1963
Bought a block of land (3,400m2) in Kashiwara, Osaka in order to have a new factory.
March 1964
Began building a factory (1,178m2) and a dormitory (1,750m2).
March 1964
Capital increased to 18 million yen.
December 1964
Began operations at the new factory. Completed the dormitory.
January 1966
2 die-cast machines introduced for development of new products.
May 1966
Began building an diecast factory for development of new products.
July 1966
Began operations at the second factory, with four press machies and two die-cast machines from the first factory.
January 1967
Second production plan completed.
May 1967
Introduced new machines: 1 automatic power press, 10 other pressses, belt conveyers, 2 die-cast machines.
December 1967
Capital increased to 21.6 million yen.
March 1968
Our women's dormitory transferred.
May 1963
Capital increased to 30 million yen.
December 1968
Capital increased to 35.16 million yen.
August 1969
Toubu-hinaka (capital: 10 million yen), an affilicated company, built a factory in Ibaraki Prefecture.
November 1969
Tokyo Sales Office opened.
April 1970
Toubu-hinaka factory completed.
June 1970
Introduced a transfer press at Fuse Plant, Osaka.
August 1970
2 dieing machines introduced at the first factory.
May 1971
New factory completed toward R & D in hardware.
July 1971
Anticrime locks registered with Osaka Anticrime Association (No.141).
Anticrime locks recommended by Osaka Anticrime Association (No.106).
September 1971
The third factory moved to Kashiwara. Reorganized into a mache and assembly factory.
October 1972
Facilities for manufacturing curtain rails introduced in a new factory. Our first homing roll and puching machine introduced.
April 1972
Began marketing COW brand curtain rails .
May 1972
Our second homing roll and puching machine introduced.
Toubu-hinaka factory enlarged.
September 1972
Began marketing COW brand curtain rails .
December 1973
Tokyo Sales Office moved to Adachi Ward.
May 1974
Capital increased to 48 million yen.
August 1974
Fukuoka Sales Office opened.
September 1974
Hiroshima Sales Office opened.
December 1975
Nagoya Sales Office opened.
October 1977
Head office completed, with 30th anniversary of Hinaka Manufacturing.
October 1978
Began marketing COW brand door locks.
February 1979
Tokyo Branch reorganized into Tokyo Office.
January 1980
Sapporo Sales Office opened.
September 1980
Recognized as a JIS certified factory for manufacturing curtain rails.
February 1981
President NAKAMURA Kazuo also served President of Home Carpenters.
Nobember 1981
Began manufacturing BIM hardware.
February 1984
President NAKAMURA Kazuo also served President of Higaki Honsha.
April 1984
New machines introduced with a rationalization program: electric discharge machines, die-cast machining centers, and so on.
April 1985
1 hot trimming die-cast machine introduced.
April 1985
Began marketing window shades.
May 1986
New factory for die-casting completed, with introduction of CAD, CAM, MC, NC machines.
October 1986
Yokohama Sales Office opened.
September 1989
Curtain rail factory and warehouse enlarged.
April 1990
Yokohama Sales Office reorganized into Tokyo West Branch.
June 1991
Moved Fukuoka Branch to Hakata Ward, Fukuoka.
June 1991
1 cold rolling/forming machine introduced.
May 1992
2 die-cast machines and 3 automatic trimming machines introduced.

2 automatic assembling machines to cap the curtain rail introduced.
